The Art Institute of California-San Diego: Staff at their
annual Bowl-a-rama for Scholarships
Scholarship committees are vital to the existence and continuing growth of The Education Foundation. A large portion of the scholarship money held by the Education Foundation is raised and awarded with the help of dedicated employees who volunteer their time to serve on these committees. Scholarship Committees are formed at the individual school level, and all scholarship funds raised by these committees go back to the school where it was raised.
We encourage each school to appoint a Development Committee that will work with the Foundation to develop donor and corporate sponsor relations. Development committee members will work with the school's Scholarship committee to promote the availability and distribution of scholarships.
We also encourage each school to create a Scholarship committee to evaluate applications for scholarships and to select the awardees and determine the amount of the awards. The recommendations of the school's Scholarship Committee are forwarded to the Foundation's Scholarship Committee, for final review and approval.
The school committees may consist of representatives from the following groups:
- Career Services
- Financial Aid
- President's Office
