The Art Institute of Indianapolis presents
CREATE TOMORROW | A Fashion Motion Picture

Hot fashion hit the big screen earlier this year. Fashion Design students from The Art Institute of Indianapolis saw their garments come to life at the college's annual fashion show at the Toby Theatre in the Indianapolis Museum of Art . CREATE TOMORROW | A Fashion Motion Picture integrated fashion collections, film and visual effects, bringing a fresh perspective to the traditional fashion show.
Within the movie three separate garment themes were explored. Eveningwear, menswear, and nine separate senior design collections were showcased. An exciting collaboration between the fashion and media arts departments at The Art Institute of Indianapolis let this fashion show 'opt out' of a traditional runway experience and experiment with nine senior digital artist-created stages that more closely match each fashion designer's artistic goal.
Brown Mackie College-Louisville Awards The Education Foundation Scholarship to Outstanding Student
Health Care Administration student, Sephoia McElory, received an Education Foundation Scholarship this June. A work study student, Sephoia is commended for her ability to juggle work and outside obligations while maintaining a full commitment to her studies.

Sephoia's message to her children: "It's never too late to go back to school! I lost my job in this economic downturn, but thanks to Brown Mackie College I was able to start a new career during this stage of my life. I want my children and grandchildren to know that we don't need to limit ourselves in what we think we can accomplish. I was able to complete one class a month, which allowed me to work and to keep up with my other obligations. I'm proud of my accomplishments at Brown Mackie College: maintaining my status on the Dean's List, receiving Student of the Month for Healthcare Administration and now receiving The Education Foundation scholarship award. This has truly been an awarding adventure, and I plan to continue my education quest. My motto is "one door closes and many others open up if you just believe in yourself."
Prior to the fashion event The Education Foundation/The Art Institute of Indianapolis awarded Fashion Scholarship Awards. A panel of industry professionals judged the student work in the categories of Menswear, Eveningwear, Senior Collections and the Fashion Stylist Projects.
